Echoes Festival is an exciting new festival (now in its 3rd year) celebrating the best in Latin Classical across London's most prestigious music venues - the first and only annual event of its kind in the UK. The Festival aims to foster a more pluralistic appreciation of classical music within the wonderfully diverse country that is 21st-century Great Britain, to further promote a more bi-lateral understanding of British-Hispanic cultural relations. www.echoesfestival.co.uk
The 2018 edition of Echoes Festival centres on the 4th centenary of the great Catalan Baroque composer Joan Cererols, as well as the 4th centenary of the Spanish painter, Bartolomé Esteban Murillo; the centenary of Claude Debussy; and the centenary of women's suffrage in the UK. In addition, it will also once again feature two events from the Instituto Cervantes' 'Guitarrísimo' series and a new collaboration with the CNDM which will showcase their current 'Proyecto Europa' programme.
