The third edition, which will take place in 2016, includes major projects by acclaimed international artists such as Lynda Beglis, Simryn Gill, Haroon Mirza and Dayanita Singh together with others by some of the region’s emerging artists such as Ayesha Sultana and Waqas Kan and representatives of international museums (Tate Modern, Centre Pompidou, Kunsthalle Zurich).
The programme includes exhibitions of contemporary art, individual projects and exhibitions by guest curators. Critical Writing Ensembles CWE is designed as a platform for the development of experimental writing and is curated by Spaniard Katya García-Antón, director and curator of the OCA, Office of Contemporary Art Norway. For seven days it features conferences, debates and lectures that will be compiled in a subsequent publication. It brings together professionals from the region and from the whole world to share experiences, work together and create new stimuli for the practice of critical writing on art. Spanish professionals Paul B. Preciado, Rosa Martínez and Ferran Barenblit are taking part in CWE.
