In the framework of the Contemporary Music Conference CCMC 2018, AC/E supports, through the programme for the Internationalization of Spanish Culture, the participation of Taller Sonoro, in a trio version of piano, flute and clarinet, as well as the pianist Carmen Morales. They will seek to generate with their music a cultural exchange between Colombia, Spain and Latin America.
The Taller Sonoro ensemble presents a concert of Spanish and Latin American composers settled in Europe, with whom they have had the opportunity to work very intensely, as well as another programme of Colombian composers with a repertoire that was selected through an open call.
On the other hand, Carmen Morales proposes a concert of young Spanish female composers for piano and electronica, as well as another one of Latin American composers with Colombian pieces selected by an open call.
In addition, all of them participate in workshops and cycles of conferences organized in the framework of the CCMC.
The CCMC Contemporary Music Days are the most important academic and artistic activity carried out by the Colombian Circle of Contemporary Music. It is carried out annually without interruption since 2010 in Bogota, counting with numerous artists and workshops from different countries such as Colombia, Venezuela, Bolivia, Argentina, Uruguay, Canada, and Japan. For two weeks they hold concerts, workshops, conferences and open meetings to the public.
For the 2018 version, there will be a composition workshop, an instrumental training workshop, a conversation, 10 conferences and 10 concerts. The workshops have 5 sessions of 4 hours each under the tutoring of an international guest. The composition workshop also has 3 reading and assembly sessions by an assembly in Spanish residence. The concerts and conferences will be in charge of guests from Spain, Germany, Chile, Argentina, and Colombia.
