Cuentos de azúcar. Eva Yerbabuena

Cuentos de azúcar. Eva Yerbabuena

This show organized by the Eva Yerbabuena Company and Hisashi Itoh for 2 dancers and 7 musicians has six Spanish artists, two Japanese and one Spanish-Japanese. It has been choreographed by different professionals, including Mario Bermúdez, of Marcar Dance, and has had a multidisciplinary technical team. The creative process has been articulated through the celebration of different artistic residences.

It aims artistic creation from the recovery of ancestral cultures and traditions that are rooted in the collective imagination but unknown by the majority of the population. But it also intends to spread the Cultural Traditions of Andalusia and Amami all over the world: make citizens of all nationalities partners in this art and turn flamenco into an accessible, media and prestigious genre; promote attitudes that support the respect and conservation of traditional cultural manifestations; strengthen flamenco as a cultural industry, generating wealth and employment, and inform and sensitize the public of the enormous cultural heritage that surrounds them as well as generate audiences through activities parallel to the creative process.

"We close our eyes and open the pupil inward looking for a sound that accelerates an internal metronome of a woman, to lower her pulse, to pump expansively the soul projecting, through the voice and the body, a weapon of war in an ecstasy of peace. It's about finding ourselves (to meet again) and sharing our experiences and experiences through what can move us: a simple wave, a sea of notes, a drum of war ... and the simplest, simplest image, with its eternal presence, always ignored, transforms the experience of language and subjugates control impulses. The distance, in time and space, perhaps never existed and uniting us in different visions brings us closer to the essence of life: there are many forms of expression, but only a universal beat ".
