Paco Diez is offering a programme of Sephardic and traditional Castilian songs in Buenos Aires and Montevideo, as well teaching as a masterclass on traditional Iberian instruments aimed at local musicians of Buenos Aires.
Paco Díez plays some 50 instruments and has the only private museum of its kind, which houses more than 450 pieces from Spain and Portugal as well as a major collection of bagpipes from around the world.
The centre for research and dissemination of Sephardic culture (Centro de Investigación y Difusión de la Cultura Sefardí, CIDICSEF) is the leading institution for Sephardic studies in Latin America. Established by the Federación Sefardí Latinoamericana, it publishes books and holds conferences, symposia and festivals, among other activities. AC/E is collaborating with two Paco Díez recitals in Buenos Aires and Montevideo through its Mobility grants.
