Guitarplayer Eduardo Trassierra from Seville is one of the greatest Spanish musicians of the younger generation. He works as guitarplayer for artists like Rocio Molina and Carmen Linares. This time he brings to Belgium his own trio, for a concert at De Centrale Gent: with percussionist Andrej Vujicic and guitarplayer Pablo Fernandez Pradas. They have the support of AC/E through the Mobility grants.
Eduardo Trassierra one of the most talented Spanish musicians of the younger generation. He and his guitar are the protagonists, with his own band, in this concert.
Eduardo Trassierra received his first classes from his father when he was nine years old.
He later completed a six month music course, and was given classes by Manuel Torres, with whom he started to dedicate himself to Flamenco guitar. At 11 he entered the school of music.
From then onwards, he started upon his musical path, both as a solo classical guitarist and accompanying singers.
In 2000, Eduardo met Carina La Debla, on whose tour he played, travelling around Europe, but in 2002 he began to gain wider recognition after winning the Giraldillo as a soloist at the 12th Seville Flamenco Biennial.
From this period onwards, Eduardo started to play as a soloist, playing in London, Brussels, Barcelona and Würzburg, as well as giving many concerts around his native Andalusia.
In 2003 he travelled to the United States to play at the prestigious New Mexico Classical Guitar Festival, where he shared the bill with the dancer El Grilo.
In 2004 he joined a production of ‘La Oca’, working with Michael Thomas, one of the most internationally recognised and highly rated violinists of the late 20th and early 21st Centuries. He shared a stage with him on many occasions over 4 years, performing Baroque music.
