The 8th Spanish film festival is a major national event in Italy. It is a travelling festival that is hosted by cities of great cultural and strategic importance such as Rome, Milan, Florence, Naples, Bologna, Turin and Bergamo.
The latest Spanish films are screened in the main section of the festival, entitled La Nueva Ola (The new wave). The sessions are attended by professionals from various disciplines related to the films, who give talks aimed at showing the keen talent and vitality of Spanish cinema and the sector’s skill at handling genre codes and cultural and film tradition, as well as making themselves known to Italian cinema professionals.
AC/E is collaborating with the festival for a further year by facilitating the presence of Spanish filmmakers Paco León, Javier Cámara, Carlos Marqués Marcet, Eduard Fernández Serrano and Isabel Coixet.
