CineHorizontes 2016. Festival de cinéma espagnol de Marseille

CineHorizontes, Marseille’s Spanish film festival, familiarises French audiences with the broad diversity of films produced on the Iberian Peninsula, showing more than 50 films never previously screened in France. A panel of professionals awards the Grand Prix to the winning films competing in the various categories. The festival also includes special screenings in other venues and in schools, lectures, and tributes, among other activities.

This year’s edition of CineHorizontes is devoting part of its programme to the problem of immigration, a new look at the Spanish Civil War, promoting first works and shorts, and supporting creation with a scriptwriting residency, as well as inviting prominent guests from the film world and holding film masterclasses.

AC/E is supporting the tribute the 15th Cinehorizonte will pay to the great actress Pilar Bardem as its guest of honour. The festival will feature a selection of her best films and she will meet audiences and receive the medal awarded by the City of Marseille.
