Cinehorizontes is a Spanish film festival with competitive sections and also panorama. In the competition, there are three sections: fiction feature films, documentaries and short films. Each section has its own panel of judges consisting of Spanish and French professionals and enthusiasts.
AC/E is supporting the travelling expenses of the Spanish film-makers Arantxa Echevarría, Moisés Salama, Jorge Fuembuena, Marta Díaz de Lope Díaz, Bárbara Lennie, David Macián and Jorge Laplace so that they can present their latest work at the 17th edition of the festival to be held between 8th and 16th November. The writer Antonio Muñoz Molina will also be present at the event, with a prelude on cinema and literature, and also the importance of cinema in his artistic training. This will take place on the 7th of November. The competition will see seven fiction feature films, seven documentaries and also seven short films, all previously unseen in France. The programme is completed by recent panorama films and the presentation of 20 years of Kimuak.
The Marseilles Spanish Film Festival, Cinehorizontes, has been an indispensable event since 2002 for Spanish films hosted in the second largest city in France. Around 40 to 50 films, recent films, homages, retrospective films, cinema, literature, meetings, debates, around 30 special guests, a residence for playwriting for young people, are just some of the features of a festival that goes beyond the city limits and reaches out into theatres in the region.
