China International New Media Short Film Festival is the only state-recognised short film festival in China. Its purpose is to encourage the production of outstanding shorts, to discover and support talented emerging new media filmmakers, to nurture and incubate innovative new media projects, to facilitate communication and international cooperation, and to create an international springboard for exhibition, exchange, trade, investment and funding.
The seventh edition has a stronger Spanish presence, with screenings of Spanish shorts (out of competition) and meetings between Spanish film representatives and directors and institutions at a newly established audiovisual fair.
During these sessions, short films will be screened and Spanish directors will meet international agents. The aim is for Chinese people to be able to view and discuss short films made in Spain.
