On October 13, 2020, the centenary of the first concert of the Pau Casals Orchestra at the Palau de la Música Catalana is commemorated, a project that Pablo Casals promoted and created in 1919 and that, as the musician himself recognized, was one of the most challenging fruitful of his artistic and professional life.
The Pau Casals Foundation in collaboration with the Museu de la Música de Barcelona and Acción Cultural Española celebrates this centenary with an exhibition dedicated to the history of the Pau Casals Orchestra that will take place simultaneously at the Museu de la Música (Barcelona) and in the Museu Pau Casals (El Vendrell), setting up two complementary exhibitions that will give a global vision of Pau Casals as a musician and conductor.
