Carte Blanche au Teatro del Astillero

Carte Blanche au Teatro del Astillero

The Carte Blanche festival in Paris is a two-week event that is held once a year in January by the Théâtre de l'Opprimé. The festival is designed to promote the work of groups of artists and to foster creation and cultural exchange by allowing artists to explore their art through shows, workshops, readings, films screenings and roundtables, among other activities..

Teatro del Astillero, a Spanish group established as the only theatre company made up of authors, is taking part in 2016 with the support of AC/E’s Programme for the Internationalisation of Spanish Culture. Juan Mayorga, José Ramón Fernández, Luis Miguel González and Raúl Hernández founded this company as a vehicle for reflection, encouragement, experimentation and pursuit which will celebrate its 20th year in 2016. It is the only Spanish company included in the programme and from the 6th to the 17th it will give a total of seven performances and three different stagings – Los CharlatanesEl Procedimiento and 30 Grados de Frío – as well as staged readings of its works in French.
