Café Azaña

Café Azaña

Within the monographic programme dedicated to Manuel Azaña at 80 years of exile organized by the Ministry of the Presidency, Relations with the Courts and Democratic Memory, through the State Secretariat for Democratic Memory with the collaboration of Acción Cultural Española, there is a series of meetings that recall the traces that the republican politician left in the Spanish society of the time and in subsequent generations.

Under the artistic direction and coordination of Marifé Santiago and José Antonio Gómez Municio, the cycle takes place in different venues of public and private cultural institutions to honor "one of the most outstanding personalities of 20th century Spain, when they are fulfilled. 80 years after his death in exile, in the French city of Montauban ".

The participants of these meetings are relevant figures from the world of politics and culture who want to offer a vision that transcends the usual proposals that we know of the political Azaña.
