Bucharest International Experimental Film Festival BIEFF is the only showcase for experimental films in Romania, and is a meeting point for filmmakers, producers, distributors and important international programmers.
Created only five years ago with the sponsorship of the National University of Theatre and Film Bucharest and the National University of Arts Bucharest, the BIEFF soon became an important event in cultural life in Romania. Its chief aim is to secure a reputation as the leading name in the field of cutting-edge audio-visual art in Eastern Europe. Indeed, the festival is presided over by the Welshman Peter Greenaway.
This year, 2014, Antoni Pinent from Spain will be presenting his latest work at Bucharest International Experimental Film Festival BIEFF with the support of the PICE run by Acción Cultura Española (AC/E).
