Berlin Biennale for Contemporary Art 2016

Berlin Biennale for Contemporary Art 2016

Since its establishment in 1998, Berlin Biennale for Contemporary Art has been one of the most important contemporary art events. The New York group DIS, made up of Lauren Boyle, Solomon Chase, Marco Roso and David Toro, is the curatorial team chosen for this ninth edition of the Biennale, which will take place in various venues in Berlin from 4 June to 18 September 2016.

AC/E is collaborating with this edition by supporting the participation of Spanish artists: Andrés Jaque, who will deliver a lecture; Antoni Abad, who will present his work on the citizens’ network BlindWiki in which blind or visually impaired people use their smartphones to share experiences of difficulties and facilities in their daily lives; and Amalia Ulman with her Instagram project on a fictitious pregnancy.
