Bendigo Writers Festival 2016

Bendigo Writers Festival 2016

This is a major annual literary festivals held in August with programs attracting audiences of more than 20,000 to regional centres in Victoria and New South Wales, Australia. In 2015, BWF and BBWF collaborated to bring London-based Pakastani writer Tariq Ali to the festivals.

Bendigo Writers Festival and Byron Bay Writers Festival presents Spanish crime writer, Victor del Arbol, with the support of AC/E. Australia's two biggest and best regional writers festivals present one of Spain's most exciting new writers, whose books are increasingly popular in English translation. The public has the opportunity of meeting Víctor del Árbol, whose fast-paced, gritty and atmospheric books will take them down the back streets of Barcelona for an unforgettable good read. Victor will speak about his books, including "Breathing Through the Wound" and "The Sadness of the Samurai", with translator and Spanish literature expert Lilit Thwaites for an insight into contemporary Spanish writing and publishing.
