Its sixteen edition, Belgrade Dance Festival, will have slogan „Emotions“ and AC/E is covering the travel expenses, through the PICE Mobility grants, of the Spanish artists invited to take part Agrupación Señor Serrano and dancer and choreographer Pere Faura. This support is aimed at internationalising the performing arts sector by encouraging Spanish companies to take part in fairs and other international sector events.
In the period 22. March to 12. April 2019, public will have opportunity to see 16 ballet companies from 11 countries with total of 19 choreographic works, as well as 25 solos and duets. Countries participating in this edition are France, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Germany, USA, Israel, Canada, Nitherlands, South Africa and North Korea. Main programme of the festival will be in Belgrade, Novi Sad, and Vrsac.
As a logical crossroads of the Balkans region, Belgrade has established its competitiveness on the World map of festivals by the presence of a prestigious dance project. Agrupación Señor Serrano performs his show “Birdie” at the Terazije Theatre Belgrade. This show is a multimedia performance with live video, objects, Hitchcock’s “The Birds” revisited, scale models, 2000 mini animals, wars, smugglers, a massive migration and three performers handling this messy world with wit, criticism and commitment with humankind.
