This year they focus on the Performing Arts programme, in a combination of long and short shows, still giving room to programme bold and risk-taking work from European companies. AC/E supports the participation of Ca Marche, La Kor'sia and La Conquesta del Pol Sud.
CA MARCHE - "Silent" (3rd of July 7pm tbc)
With this project, Ça marche reaffirms its willingness to talk about the passage from childhood to adulthood, the infantilization of the world and the subversive political potential that is proper to the child. Ca Marche has never performed in the UK which makes the programming of their show Silence very interesting for both the collective and the festival.

LA KOR’SIA, Saturday 6th of July 7.00 pm
The color was the starting point to develop what is YellowPleace, where two strangers, attract each other, arrive quickly at the high point of the relationship. Dramaturgy is divided in three parts, as three stages of growing up together.
LA CONQUESTA DEL POL SUD, Saturday 6th of July 12.00
Bucharest is a production that has grown out of an academic network on Culture and Testimony, which is funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council. The network has spent two years investigating the role testimony plays in dealing with past trauma, socially and individually, and considering how we can use practice to explore these ideas most powerfully.
BE FESTIVAL is an annual performing arts international event produced since 2010. The festival is a space for exchange for audiences, artists and promoters; a platform for European artists to access the UK market with around 50 programmers attending the showcase. We programme emerging companies from Europe, and since 2011 we organise the ‘Best of BE Tour’; 3 companies have the opportunity to tour to 14 of the best venues in the country every year, creating lasting relationships with programmers.
