Inés J. Pedras is the architect selected for the residence in Tashkeel with the project BioTensegrity foldism. This project is based on the interpretative, physical and creative conception of the fold (pleated) world. As an abstract and multi- interpretive union entity, but at the same time, with a marked constructive capacity in the form of a small installation, sculptural ”triangulated cloud".
The residency, organized by Acción Cultural Española in collaboration with Tashkeel and the Embassy of Spain in the UAE, is aimed at creators who seek to develop their artistic practice in the geographical context of the United Arab Emirates, promoting intercultural ties and contact with their artists. , designers and craftsmen. Organized in parallel with the Spanish participation in Expo Dubai 2020, the residency takes place over sixteen weeks, beginning in January and ending in May 2022, at the Tashkeel arts center in Dubai.
