Aicha Josefa Trinidad Gououi is the artist and researcher selected to carry out a residency at Hangar (Barcelona), where she will develop her project قصص (Qisas, Stories) for two months.
Aicha's project is related to the writing of her thesis, in which she compiles oral stories and life experiences to write short stories that will serve as chapters of her final doctoral thesis. Therefore, it will be an academic thesis written through stories often considered “lesser knowledge.” Using the story as a method is not only about writing more democratically, but also about dislocating the expectations of a thesis within the academy.
