Approdi, Festa d’Arte e Comunità is part of the multiyear programme Mare di Danza. L’Arte di Vivere in Viaggio of Carovana SMI.
From 22 to 25 October Approdi is running a programme devoted to the sea, the interaction of art and sport, and social cohesion. The festival is a celebration of the contemporary urban arts and features workshops, performances, exhibitions and artistic and environmental routes with a very significant and active involvement of the community.
The festival began in a place on the outskirts of the town of Cagliari, in the district of Sant'Elia, as a means of exploring its specificity and needs in order to improve its expressive and productive potential, thereby strengthening the sense of belonging and individual and collective dignity.
The Spanish dance company Vero Cendoya is taking part in this edition of the festival thanks to the AC/E mobility grants with La Partida, a dance and football performance created by choreographer Vero Cendoya. The company is continuing with its efforts to combine contemporary dance with its antagonists and on this occasion it is contrasting it with football as a ‘spectacle’.
