Apertura Madrid Gallery Weekend 2020

Apertura Madrid Gallery Weekend 2020

For this event, the art galleries that make up Arte_Madrid choose the best of their roster of artists, both Spanish and international, established and emerging. Opening 2020 will take place between September 10 and 13, 2020.

This year Apertura extends over the month of September to offer a complete program of activities accessible to the public for free: joint opening in all galleries, a program of events and guided tours of the galleries, visits to some of the most unique art centers and museums in the city, as well as tours of public spaces where you can discover and appreciate works of art located in the streets, squares and buildings of Madrid.

Apertura also organizes a private program that aims to develop the contemporary art sector and encourage collaboration between cultural agents and professionals. In addition to the invitations made by the galleries themselves and by the association, an international group of directors of art centers or institutions, curators and advisers attend, invited by the Government of Spain through Acción Cultural Española.
