Ansan Street Arts Festival2016 id held in Ansan Culture Square during 4 days from May 5 to 8. The festival was awarded the gold Pinnacle Award Korea by the International Festivals & Events Association, in 2015.
There are lots of Citizen participation programs with large scale compared to last year. This year's theme at the Ansan Street Arts Festival2016 is 'Action over the city'. In it audience and artists cam communicate each other and also meet and talk with another people.
After 2015, Ansan Street Arts Festival(ASAF) promote the international exchange program with Spain FiraTàrrega. ASAF and FiraTàrrega recommend community artists and performances. ASAn invite this yar, with the collaboration of AC/E to the festival so that they could create and perform their performances.
"While the machine keeps working" is a Workshop and performance in Ansan Street Arts Festival. This performance is based on a workshop and research with Korean teenagers and conducted by the Spanish team. This group is researching on how do we express pain and how much we can suffer it, how we react and what we do. After the results of the research the Spanish team will create a performance and direct it and the teenagers will perform in it. The spanish team are the director Carla Rovira Pitarch and her assistant Clara Carbonell Pujolars and it is an exchange between FiraTàrrega and Ansan Street Arts Festival.
