Ambulatory Art: 'Goya in a hospital?'

Ambulatory Art is a programme of traveling exhibitions that takes place in hospitals (main lobbies, waiting rooms and rooms) and rural areas. The contents are designed to be accessible to all people, providing a new relationship between the cultural event, the viewer, their health and the place. According to scientific research, artistic practices in health and rural settings are a contributing element to improve psychological, spiritual and physical health. Currently there is a European and Spanish institutional framework that prescribes artistic practices in health policies.

'Goya in a hospital?' is an exhibition of the Ambulatory Art program based on reproductions of works by Goya donated for the occasion by the Prado Museum. It is a selection of tapestry cartoons by the Aragonese painter, grouped by themes such as humor, challenges, emotions or contradiction. It is accompanied by texts and mediation workshops that explain the works from innovative perspectives, as well as commented concerts with themes related to Goya, his great themes or his time, always from approaches of maximum accessibility and connection for all kinds of public.
During the Summer months, the exhibition includes the performance of the following Folk music groups:
Atlantic Folk Trío
Caamaño&Ameixeiras
Ombligo
