The exhibition and the catalogue were part of the celebration of the VIII Centenary of the birth of King Alfonso X El Sabio (November 23, 1221, Toledo - April 4, 1284, Seville). A program organized by the Toledo City Council, with the participation of the Castilla La Mancha Community Board, the Toledo Provincial Council and the Ministry of Culture and Sports, and Acción Cultural Española. 'Alfonso X: The Legacy of a Precursor King' highlighted the historical, intellectual, political, cultural and scientific significance of this monarch, whose legacy is truly exceptional.
