Alcances, Cadiz’s documentary film festival, is focused on Spanish documentaries, especially so-called creative documentaries. Its official selection spans three categories: feature-length, medium and short, each with its own awards. There are also non-competition sections and special activities.
The festival takes place every year in the month of September. In addition to screenings, it features complementary activities (various presentations, roundtables, meetings with filmmakers, etc.). Acción Cultural Española is supporting the festival through the internationalisation programme, which is enabling it to broaden its scope and establish links with South America, as well as to show the photography exhibition Platea in Cadiz during the summer.
