An account of the history of the Residencia de Estudiantes (Student Residence) which analyses its nature, considered radically innovative at the time of its foundation, on 1 October 1910, as well as its activities and key figures: from the director Alberto Jiménez Fraud to residents including Juan Ramón Jiménez, Unamuno, Moreno Villa, Dalí, García Lorca, Buñuel, Celaya and Severo Ochoa, along with many others. It also illustrates the re-founding of the Residence during the Democratic era, its current activities and its long-lasting plan.
The show is accompanied by two documentaries: Hablaremos de esto dentro de cien años (“We will talk about this in a hundred years”), an Ojomovil production scripted by Juan Pérez de Ayala and directed by Rafael Zarza, and Cien años de la Residencia de Estudiantes (“One hundred years of the Student Residence”), a Story Board/Jorge Martínez Reverte production in partnership with the Residence and TVE, and with the support of AC/E.
