This exhibition brings together some one hundred photographs illustrating Spain's recent history, the key events of the 20th century and the overtures of the 21st, along with some of the country's most representative figures, interspersed with images of daily life. The 114 years separating the first and last of the photographs in the exhibition provide a faithful reflection of the passage of time and the far-reaching changes which Spain has experienced over that period, moving from dreams of colonialism to globalization, from marginalization and isolation to European integration.
