The Irish Museum of Modern Art in Dublin (IMMA) has organised a series of exhibitions focusing on a number of Spanish contemporary artists such as Juan Muñoz, Cristina Iglesias, Juan Uslé, Miquel Barceló and Joan Miró. On this occasion, with the cooperation of AC/E, it has turned to the Catalan sculptor Susana Solana.
A large-scale stainless steel sculpture entitled Carmen, which dominates the 18th century cloistered courtyard of the museum, represents this institution at Dublin Contemporary 2011 (a gathering of contemporary art and artists staged in the Irish capital).
