The exhibition El Defecto Barroco. Políticas de la imagen hispana (The Baroque Defect. Politics of the Hispanic Image), staged for the first time in 2010 at the Centre de Cultura Contemporánea de Barcelona (CCCB), invites a reflection on political, cultural, social and other strategies which have contributed to the creation of the myth of the Hispanic identity in Latin America, based on the forms and culture of the Baroque period.
A series of other events will also take place, including an educational program (featuring theoretical seminars, practical workshops, specialist guides, etc.) and an international seminar with the same title as the exhibition.
