The 7th Santo Domingo International Theatre Festival hosted the travelling exhibition 30 Years of Animated Puppets, featuring over 150 puppets created for theatre, cinema and television productions. The show covers the finest work performed by Muñecos Animados, one of the few companies in the world to create high-quality puppets for TV animation, and which is also the co-founder of the Fundación Muñecos por el Desarrollo (Puppets for Development Foundation).
Most of the works on display belong to the company's most recent period, in which efforts have focused on the audiovisual sector, revealing the creative process: the figure of the puppet as an inanimate object and the life given to it by a new stage in the form of the television screen.
