The Buenos Aires International Biennial of Architecture is considered one of the key events in the sector, alongside those held in Venice and São Paulo, both because of its track record?it has been staged without interruption since 1985?and its considerable international appeal, as in 2010, more than 900 professionals from 20 countries attended the conferences.
Alongside the conference calendar at the Buenos Aires Auditorium, an exhibition at the Recoleta Cultural Centre featuring architectural projects and models by contemporary architects has also been scheduled. The selected speakers this year include close on fifty leading professionals, such as César Pelli, Richard Meier, Rafael Viñoly, Paul Andreu and the Spanish architects Alejandro Zaera Polo and José Selgás, and Lucía Cano.
