With the aim of continuing to promote Spanish talent in the audiovisual sector and encourage creation, this year the second edition of the AC/E Spanish Talent Award is held. An award that is intended to be an incentive for young filmmakers and the opportunity to boost their careers.
The Spanish authors finalists of the 2019 Edition (more than 120 short films) who wish to give continuity to their audiovisual project are eligible for the award. Turning their short film into the first stone of a more ambitious project (web series, medium-length film, feature film ...) through a piece of at least 10 minutes. The jury, led by the Oscar candidate Oliver Laxe and completed by the director Javier Fesser, the actor Óscar Jaenada and the casting directors Leira and Serrano, will select the four nominees for the award and the AC/E team the winner, who will be unveiled at the Awards Gala.
The short films presented are unpublished and, given the international vocation of the Festival, subtitled in English with a maximum duration of 3.30 minutes. The winner of the Award will obtain, for the development of the project: an economic prize and an editing course. In order to accompany the winner in the all the process, Acción Cultural Española will present the ten-minute piece at an event organized by the Festival.
