9th Cumbre de las Américas Ibero-American Theatre Festival

The 9th ‘Cumbre de las Américas’ Ibero-American Theatre Festival brings together companies from the whole of Latin America and Spain, which are selected by a committee of experts with the aim of stimulating, promoting, exchanging and disseminating the work of creators linked to this field of artistic expression.

AC/E is taking in part in this even, now in its 9th year, by supporting the Spanish companies invited by the festival: Patricia Pardo & Cía with Éica, Tattoos y saldos and Pérez & Disla with La Gente.

Etica, Tattoos y saldos explores the coexistence of traditional stage expression and contemporary language through classic gags but also through images that are metaphors. In it skill and humour are a means as well as an end.

Gente analyses and interprets social and group phenomena in order to reflect on how personal relations interact. The action takes place in the backroom of a clothing business, where certain decisions have to be made, and examines the mechanisms of gatherings of this kind, portraying paradoxically the different types usually found in such cases.
