500 years of Havana. Jesús Rubio Gamo

The dancer and choreographer Jesús Rubio Gamo has conceived this dance project "Now that we are not too old yet" and he is taking in into Latin America during the second half of 2019. With the support of AC/E, he has included in this tour several workshops and representations in Holguin and Havana, within the framework of the 500 years of Havana celebration.

"Now that we are not too old yet" is a single half dance, half writing, which he created in 2016 during an artistic residence at DT Scenic Space and at the Conde Duque Cultural Center in Madrid, where it premiered within the International Dance Festival -MOS.

With this work, Jesús Rubio Gamo, was a candidate for the MAX 2017 awards in the category of Best Revelation Authorship and has also been selected for the Aerowaves 2018 European Contemporary Dance Platform and for the 2018/2019 AECID artist catalog, as well as by the Swedish National Dance Network to perform in six cities in the country in 2019.
