The aim of the Association pour le Cinéma is to protect and promote all cinema-related activities in Villeurbanne; to bring cinema to life and make it available to all kinds of audiences (children, young people, old age pensioners, groups, people with visual or hearing impairments). It likewise organises three cinema events: the European Short Film Festival (November), Ciné O'Clock, British and Irish Film Festival (February) and Reflets du Cinéma Ibérique et Latino-américain (March).
Since its establishment in 1984, Reflets du Cinéma Ibérique et Latino-américain has been working to promote and disseminate Spanish and Latin American film. The festival also facilitates meetings and debates between directors and actors and the public. To complement its film activities, since 2000 the festival has been organising exhibitions and concerts to give greater visibility to Spanish and Latin American artists. Les Reflets du Cinéma Ibérique et Latino-américain is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2014.
AC/E is collaborating with the festival through the mobility programme of the PICE by supporting the participation of Diego Galán, who will be presenting his latest work.
