The 2015 Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism \ Architecture (UABB 2015) presents the work of around 72 architects from around the world. The projects explore the central theme of this edition: Re-Living The City. The Biennale opens to the public on December 4 in the former flour factory Dacheng in Shekou.
UABB 2015 is curated by four of the most important architects, critics and educators today: Aaron Betsky, Alfredo Brillembourg, Hubert Klumpner and Doreen Heng Liu. It explores the reinvention of urban spaces and the current architecture to show the ways in which designers can work with citizens to make the most useful, fair and sustainable cities. Five exhibitions make up the space: Collage City 3D Maker Maker, Pearl River Delta 2.0 Radical Urbanism, and Social City.
Collage City 3D, curated by Aaron Betsky, presents a new perspective of city uncovering the remains, images and forms that are usually buried in the buildings and streets. A site-specific collage showing the reality of the Pearl River Delta. The Spanish study Langarita- Navarro (Maria Langarita and Victor Navarro) is involved with the support of AC/E’s Program for the Internationalization of Spanish Culture.
