CoCoA Datei is one of the most important professional associations on the Buenos Aires independent dance scene. Since its creation in 2007, it has been working on a programme aimed chiefly at achieving a greater degree of participatory and collective management for artists, both nationally and internationally.
For the 4th Ibero-American Dance Festival, CoCoA has organised an Ibero-American Meeting that is designed to bring together dance professionals in order to exchange specific cultural and regional knowledge. In order to socialise management, a debate will be held on how things work in the Ibero-American environment, strategies for training and attracting audiences, and the social scope of the art of dance.
The festival also aims to make known the activity of independent dance professionals belonging to both national and foreign companies. For this purpose it has designed a programme of performances featuring companies from Chile, Portugal, Brazil, Spain, Peru and Colombia, as well as three works by Argentinian companies.
AC/E is collaborating in this year’s festival by supporting the participation of three Spanish professionals from the sector: director and choreographer, Guy Nader, dancer Roser López and lighting and stage technician Israel Quintero.
