With the collaboration of AC/E through the programme for the internationalisation of Spanish culture, La Capilla Real de Madrid is staging a concert in Prague for the second year running in collaboration with the Collegium Marianum Ensemble directed by Jane Semeradóvá. The project brings together the instrumental work of Collegium Marianum with the vocal skills of the Capilla Real directed by Oscar Gershesohn in a concert performed as part of the 15th edition of the Soirées Baroques cycle in Prague.
Since its establishment in 1990, the Collegium Marianum – Týnská škola, which specialises in historical arts, has been running an educational programme of historical performances that has helped enhance the popularity of early music in the Czech Republic. Similarly, since 2000 it has been organising the Soirées Barrocas and Summer Festivities of the Early Music International Music Festival, as a member of the European Early Music Network www.rema-eemn.net
