The World Poetry Encounter of Montevideo 2017 is a biannual project and it is aimed at making the city a worldwide reference point for poetry, in order to encourage reading and the production of written, visual, performance and musical poetry. The activities take place in at least ten venues around Montevideo, decentralising and creating poetry circuits in the city.
AC/E is collaborating with the festival through its mobility programme, by granting the financial assistance requested for the participation of the Spanish poet David Giménez Alonso who will offer readings, recitals and performances in different places in the city of Montevideo. David will share his experience in the field of current Spanish poetry.
