This book recovers a fundamental part of the Spanish and Latin American historical memory, from two perspectives. First, it shows the importance of Republican exile in America, from the adventures of a group of Catalan writers who lived the successive stages of the exodus. At the same time, highlights the influence of the culture of the host countries in the work of the creators of the diaspora, in contact with the American reality, they discussed issues such as identity and the "other" or life in the large contemporary metropolises. 
There are four editions for each country that hosted the project: Argentina, Puero Rico, Chile and México.
