Arabian Stars replantea el concepto de identidad de un mundo globalizado que manifiesta la recepción en Yemen de la cultura occidental. Muestra a un grupo de yemenitas caminando frente a la cámara con pancartas escritas en árabe con los nombres de personajes reales y de ficción, de renombre internacional y
local: Michael Jackson, Pikachu
o Zinedine Zidane pero también
el cantante Abo Bakr Saalem, los poetas Al Zubeiri y Albaradoni o la ministra Amat al-Alim al-Susua. En una instalación con paredes pintada con el característico verde de Yemen, 82 sillas reciben a
los espectadores y representa los 82 actores del film.

Arabian Stars reassesses the concept of identity in a globalised world as manifested in the reception of Western culture
in Yemen. It depicts a group of Yemenites walking in front of
the camera with signs written in Arabic with the names of real and fictive persons, of international and local fame: Michael Jackson, Pikachu, or Zinedine Zidane,
but also the singer Abo Bakr Saalem, the poets Al Zubeiri
and Albaradoni, or the minister Amat al-Alim al-Susua. In the installation the walls are painted in the characteristic green colour of Yemen, while 82 chairs await the spectators, representing the 82 actors and actresses in the video.
