RESULTS 2015 sElECtion of projECts98/Artista X Artista also stems from the need to nd and generate support from within the artistic community in a country like Cuba, where institutional management is insu cient to meetthe needs of emerging creators. e rst edition of the Artista X Artista Residency programme invited the young Spanish creator Cristina Garrido for a one-month stay. e scheduled events included a three- person exhibition, Artista X Artista (I), which opened at 5pm on ursday 26 November at AXA. It featured someof the landmark projects of the young artist ( is Is Art Now Vol.1, 2013, Veil of Invisibility, 2011) and other recent pieces (#JWIITMTESDSA? ( Just what is it that makes today´s exhibitions so di erent, so appealing?), 2015), along with the work of two other artists: Dora Maurer (Budapest, 1937) and Carlos Garaicoa (Havana, 1967).
