Emma Rodero
Emma Rodero is a tenured lecturer at the Department of Communication of the UPF. She holds a doctorate in communication and also in psychology, specialising in pathology of the voice and cognitive psychology. Her research is focused on analysing the cognitive processing of sound and public speaking. Rodero studies how sound and the voice can improve listeners’ attention, memory and comprehension and this can be applied directly to any knowledge transmission process: the audiovisual sphere, advertising, culture, education and politics. She has written more than 12 books and 70 scientific articles on the voice, sound and the radio. She has worked in radio for more than a decade and continues
to work as an announcer of commercials, documentaries, audiobooks and e-learning products.
